Set in my house and there was a couple of zombie / lethargic people that were in the basement and I felt scared so I went to my dad’s room where he checked the cameras and made food. When he checked the cameras he said there seems to be a disturbance outside but wasn’t too worried about it. At some point, everyone else came into my dad’s room as well to hide.
Dreams involving zombies or lethargic figures often symbolize feelings of powerlessness, fear, or a perceived threat in your waking life. Your dream seems to be set in a familiar environment—your house, specifically the basement and your dad's room—indicating personal and familial security issues.
Zombie/Lethargic Figures: In dreams, zombies typically represent fears or anxieties that are emotionally draining or psychologically taxing. They may manifest feelings that something in your life is beyond your control or that you're dealing with unresponsive people or situations. In this case, these figures are in the basement—a part of the house that represents the subconscious or suppressed emotions—suggesting underlying stress or fears you may be pushing away.
Feeling Scared and Seeking Safety: Your immediate reaction of fear and the decision to go to your dad's room signifies a desire for protection, security, and guidance. Your father's role in the dream, checking the cameras, indicates a search for clarity or understanding of the real situation outside yourself or examining something from a higher perspective.
Disturbance Outside: This suggests external factors or events that are causing tension or unease in your life—things that might be brewing in the background but haven’t fully presented themselves as threats yet.
Everyone Joining in Your Dad's Room: It implies a collective experience of facing fears or threats, suggesting that the current challenges or anxieties are shared among those close to you, such as family. It can highlight the importance of unity and support from loved ones during times of crisis.
Your Father's Reaction: His calm demeanor in saying "there seems to be a disturbance" might reflect how those around you perceive your problems—possibly minimizing them or handling them with more control and less anxiety than you do.
In essence, your dream suggests feelings of threat or unease regarding certain aspects of your life, potentially involving family dynamics, safety, or external pressures. It might be beneficial to reflect on any current situations you feel are beyond your control and evaluate how much support or protection you feel from your close circles. It is also a reminder of the strength found in collective support and facing issues together with loved ones.
